Week 2! Thanks for another great week.
September 8, 2023. It was so nice to arrive this morning and see our ACMS signage! I am grateful for the wonderful students, staff, and families who have supported the opening of our school. Have a restful weekend.
Helpful information and reminders:
Lunch: Thank you for working with us to have a positive lunch experience. We still need reminders about the following:
* Please grab your lunch bag after recess
* Please throw away all food items, packaging, etc. before being dismissed for recess
* Lunch is 15 minutes, recess is 15 minutes!
Parent help!!! If you're wanting to help, we need you on picture day Thursday, 9/14. We need 10 volunteers. Five adults for two shifts (approximately 2.5 hours)! If you're interested, please email Victoria: awitenv@wlwv.k12.or.us
Calendar: Our admin assistant has access to our school website calendar. You will see items that pertain to the community (e.g. XC information, picture day, etc.)
Math: For those of you who have reached out regarding their student's math level, please remember our new math curriculum with provide more rigorous opportunities for students. After MAPs testing results, in collaboration with admin and teachers, we will reach out to you if your student might need a different level.
Cellphones: Students are doing a good job remembering that we are "away for the day," but as a reminder, cellphones should be in their lockers all day.
Back-to-school-night: Please mark your calendar for September 19th (6:00-7:30 p.m.)

Sasha Wood
Sasha is new to us, but has many years of middle school admin assistant experience. She has jumped in and helps with anything and everything! She is your go-to for the school website, calendar events, athletics, and testing support.
Victoria Awiten
Victoria is new to working in a school. She is embracing all things middle school! She is your go-to for bookkeeping, fees, or picture questions. The majority of her work is staff front-facing (budget, ordering, substitutes).
