Falcon's Nest
Alcova Elementary School
September 1, 2023
Dear Alcova Community,
We have had a great first month of school. Our students have shown remarkable enthusiasm for learning, and it's heartwarming to witness their curiosity and eagerness to explore new ideas. Teachers and staff have dedicated themselves to creating an engaging and nurturing environment where each student can thrive.
As we move into the month of September, we are now ready to dive deeper into the learning. We have completed our beginning-of-year I-Ready diagnostic assessments. Teachers will use data from these assessments to set achievement goals with students in reading and math. Continue to ask specific questions to your child about their school day to remind them that learning is important and that you support their success.
We have some exciting events planned for the month of September. We have our PTA-sponsored Donuts with Dad, Grandparents Day breakfast, Digital Learning Day #1, Sparkles Skate Night, and the Dacula Carnival, just to name a few. It is important to stay engaged with the school by participating in community events.
Your Principal,
Ms. Jacquetta Baldwin
