LW Marching Arts Update

The big week is finally here! We are excited to partner with Music for All and serve as a Bands of America Affiliate Regional Competition! We have a full day of great bands and great music on tap at LW West!

Volunteer sign ups are posted on Charms. We need an immense amount of volunteers to make the invitational a huge success. As a reminder - volunteering at the LWMI fulfills your major volunteer requirement for the year.

There are still spots that we need to fill. If you have not signed up yet, please do so ASAP. If you have already signed up and would like to pull a double shift, we would greatly appreciate it. A complimentary meal will be provided for all volunteers who work the entire day.

4:30-8:30pm - Rehearsal for EVERYONE at EAST - Reminder - no shuttle buses are available due to the day off of school

LWMI Volunteer Meeting - 7:00pm at East in the Auditorium

During the meeting, you will have a chance to meet with your area's chairperson/people to hear important info about what you will be doing during the LWMI. Please try to attend if possible. Thank you!

East Football Band - Approx. times - 5:00-9:30pm

Please remember - football games are REQUIRED for woodwinds, brass and percussion.

Saturday, October 14 - Lincoln-Way Marching Invitational!!!!

10:00am - Rehearsal at East - ALL students should be dropped off at EAST. For this event, students should NOT drive to practice as they cannot leave their car at East.

3:15pm - Break; Load Trucks (DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND AT L-W EAST)

4:00pm - Load Busses; Depart for L-W WEST

4:30pm - Arrive; Eat Dinner (Student cost - Bring money to purchase concessions at the LWMI); Unload Trucks; Change into uniform

6:00pm - LWMB Pictures/Meeting; Depart for Warm-Up

8:00pm - LWMB Competitive Warm-Up

9:00pm - LWMB Performance In Exhibition

9:20pm - Awards Ceremony; Change out of uniform; Reload Trucks

Students will be dismissed from L-W WEST after everything is stored.

THERE IS NO SHUTTLE BUS BACK TO L-W EAST!

BOA Super Regional Itinerary will be available soon!

Our goal is to raise $30,000 through Snap Raise and we can reach that goal if everyone enters 20 email addresses and includes a photo of themselves. Remember - the emails are sent to people you know (family members, friends, etc.) and when they see a photo of you in your band uniform, they are more likely to make a donation.

It is not too late to enter in your emails!
