FY2025 Budget Development Survey Open Through December 11, 2023

Calling all Students, Parents and Staff to take this survey: The purpose of the FY2025 Budget Development Survey is to inform decisions around funding priorities in the School Year 2024-2025 with a focus on identifying programs that must be sustained after COVID-19 stimulus funds (ESSER) end in September 2024. Because teaching with an emphasis on learning is our core business, this is an opportunity to understand the community's priorities for the general budget as we move out of the phase of COVID-19 pandemic funding. Thank you in advance for responding to the FY2025 Budget Development Survey by December 11. Your participation is one of the first steps in the budget development process for FY25 (the 2024-2025 school year).

12th Grade Pictures and Yearbook

To schedule senior portraits, visit Cady.com to set up an account, select and pay for their senior portrait session. Students may pick a date and location that is convenient for them. For formal and casual portraits to be published in the 2023-24 edition of the yearbook, students must be photographed by Cady Studios on or before Friday, December 15, 2023. There are no deadline extensions or exceptions.

Yearbooks may be purchased at yearbookordercenter.com. School code: 14851. Order now for the lowest price of the year: $70.

From the Counseling Office

• FSA ID events will be held in the media center on the following dates during PACE. Students and parents will need one. Each person must have his or her own ID. Students can schedule themselves or get a pass from the counseling office.

• Instant Decision Day for Georgia State University will be held on Monday, December 11th in the media center during PACE. Please see your counselor for an official copy of your transcript prior to the event.

Attendance Awareness Campaign 2024!

Addressing chronic absence is a key component of improving graduation rates, increasing academic achievement and giving students the best chance at success in their adult life. Please join us on Thursday, January 4th at 6:30 PM for a Virtual Meeting to review Berkmar Attendance requirements for parents and students. A link will be sent via ParentSquare before the event.

*The meeting will take place in Spanish with English interpretation.

This communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with your child’s school and Gwinnett County Public Schools. The easiest way to access ParentSquare is through the Parent Portal. More information can be found here.

ParentVUE App

• ParentVUE allows parents to view schedules, grades, assignments, and more. Find the app on Google Play or Apple App Store and use the same email address and password as your Parent Portal account.
• Parents must first have an active Parent Portal account to activate the app.

Warming Stations

Warming Station season is here. Gwinnett County is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, especially during the colder months. With the approaching winter season, we are pleased to inform you about our five Warming Stations, which will be operational between November 2023 through March 2024. When overnight temperatures reach 35 degrees or below, the stations will operate from 6:00pm to 7:00am.
