Lake Bluff Elementary School Family Newsletter
Hello Lake Bluff Families!
Students have completed their Fast Bridge testing. You can access their result in your Parent Portal on Infinite Campus. Please see the attached letter for more details.
Yesterday, your child attended Lake Bluff’s All School Crew (school assembly). They learned about the ‘K’ in P.A.R.K.– Kindness. In working on spreading kindness at home, please help your child to complete the Kindness Bingo Board at home (you'll find it in their Thursday folder). The board encourages kindness through the suggested actions. Once your child does an action on the board, they can color in the box. Your child can get a BINGO going up and down, across, diagonal, or 4 corners, with the challenge of a black-out board (all the spaces). This bingo board does not need to be returned to school.
This is Crossing Guard Recognition Week. Each day committed adult crossing guards across Wisconsin show up at their assigned crossings to assist students in their journey to or from school. Please join me in recognizing their dedication to providing safe passage for our students.
Yours in Learning,
Alejandra Ovalle-Krolick (Ms. O.K.)
Principal, Lake Bluff Elementary School
A Message from Nurse Kelly Barlow-Eichman
Pink Eye (Conjunctivitis):
Recently, there has been an increase in cases of pink eye in school. It is essential to know when to stay home if you or your child have red, itchy, watery eyes, discharge, and sensitivity to light. It is also essential to inform the health office if your child has been confirmed to have pink eye. By doing so, the health office can take necessary measures to prevent the spread of the infection and keep the school environment safe for everyone. Remember to always practice good hygiene, such as washing your hands frequently and avoiding touching your eyes, to prevent the spread of pink eye.
Please note: Students with significant secretions, students who cannot avoid touching their eye(s), or students whose education is impacted by the irritation/pain caused by pink eye will be sent home.
More information about all infectious diseases can be found here:
Please join us for a four-part School Budgets series that will provide community members with information about key aspects of District budgeting: revenue sources, expenses, and the use of financial forecasting. Through this series, our goal is to foster a shared understanding of our financial resources and how they are employed in support of student growth. Please use the link to RSVP!

Joke of the Day
One of the ways we will build community this year is through our Joke of the Day! Students will have the opportunity to submit a joke of the day. Jokes will be read by a member of the student services team during morning announcements. While the student’s name will not be mentioned, their grade will be mentioned. (Example: Today's joke comes from a 3rd grader!) Please click here to have your child submit the joke or to submit the joke on behalf of your child.
Staff Appreciation
As you know, at LB we have some of the best educators around! With that in mind, please feel free to submit a staff shoutout whenever you feel so inclined. Please click here to submit the staff shoutout. I will also include this link in future Beagle Bulletins!
