BMS Families,

Happy 2025 to all of our families! This week was filled with excitement as learners and staff returned to BMS. Our learners settled back into routines quickly! It was great to visit our learning spaces to see our students engaged in their learning! As the calendar has turned to January, we enter the season of winter musical performances. Both BMS Bands and Choirs will perform throughout January and I encourage you to catch a concert to support our musicians.

If you are the parent of a current 8th grader, please see below for registration information for the 2025-2026 school year.

The 6th Grade and Beginning Band Winter Band Concert will be on TUESDAY Jan. 21, 2025 at 6:00pm in the BMS Auditorium. Your students are very excited to perform for you! Here is what you need to know.

Enter BMS through Door #11 (north end of building)

Students put coats and cases in Band Lockers

Arrive at 5:20 - ready to rehearse at 5:30pm

5:45pm doors open

6:00pm Concert Begins

Where: BMS Auditorium

What to Wear: Black Band shirt, black pants and nice shoes

The 8th Grade Jazz Band and 7th Grade perform at 7:30 pm in the BMS AUDITORIUM on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025.

Students need to arrive at 7:00 pm

Doors open at 7:15 pm

Concert begins at 7:30 pm

Students need to wear their band shirts and black pants.

Congratulations to our Tiger Stripe Winners for this week! These learners showed responsibility, integrity and compassion! We are proud of all their accomplishments!

Congratulations to our Staff Member of the Week, Ashley Mattei!

Ashley is a dedicated 6th grade Language Arts teacher whose passion for teaching inspires her students to grow and succeed every day. Her creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment to her learners make her an incredible asset to the BMS learning community!

Please see below for some important information around 9th grade registration for the 2025-2026 school year.

• January 6-10: Middle School Counselor Presentation in Transitions
• January 16 and 17: HS Counselors will present FHS registration materials in Transitions class
• January 23: Incoming 9th Grade Parent Presentation (See below for more information)
• February 4: Signed registration sheets due to Transitions teacher
