Principal's Remarkable Reader's Award
Congratulations to Mr. Derrick's 8th and 6th grade class and Ms. Centner's 7th grade class for turning in the highest percent of Read and Respond forms for Unit 2, Cycle 1 for their grades. Each class received the "Remarkable Reader's" traveling banner award from Ms. Beatty. Way to go Warhawks for getting your Read and Response forms completed and turned in!
Culture Fair- Nov. 27th
During this half day, we are inviting our families and community to join us between the hours of 8am-11:00am to celebrate diversity. There are so many wonderful things we can learn from one another. One way we can do that is through exploring other cultures. During this day our students will be presenting some aspect of a culture of their choosing and presenting it to other students and visitors from our community. This may include special traditions, dances, foods, games, traditional clothing and more. We are opening up this opportunity for families or local organizations to set up a booth as well. If you are interested in participating in this event please complete the survey linked below. You can learn more about the specifics of our Culture Fair by clicking the button below for the Video Promo.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences are being held at Wilson Middle School on Wednesday, November 13th from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Teachers will be in the Gym at tables in an open concept format. We will have signs with each teacher's name posted by their table. Periodically teachers will need to step away from their tables and will indicate this with a sign.
Parents/guardians can line up for a quick meeting with their student's teachers as they are available. Please try to keep each conference to 10 minutes or less. If a private or longer meeting is needed, a separate appointment time can be scheduled with the teacher.
A list of your student's teachers and their contact information can be found in Infinite Campus. Click on the Menu, More, and then Contact List.
On Wednesday, November 13th, students will have an early release schedule, with classes running from 7:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Please be sure to make arrangements for their early pickup.
We would like to provide a dinner for the teachers and staff on the night of parent teacher conferences. If you are able and willing to contribute, please click this link to sign up.
Items should be brought to the main office by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13th. Please use disposable containers when possible. We have several nescos to put hot food/soup into.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support!

Medications at School
It is best to give your student medication at home. However, there are times a student may need to be given medication during school hours.
● Students may not self administer any medications at school.
● MPSD Medication Consent form must be completed by a parent for any prescription and over the counter medication to be given at school.
● A medical provider must sign an authorization for prescription medications.
● It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to transport medication to/from school.
● Medications must be in the original container.
● The school nurse has the right to refuse medications or to stop providing medication if the policies are not followed.
● Consent forms and additional information can be found on the MPSD website under Nursing Services.

Back to School Update through Parent Portal
New for the 2024-25 school year and beyond, all families will complete our annual demographic update using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. In years past, the District sent home a paper form or "gold sheet" with your student(s) to collect updated addresses, phone numbers, and emergency contacts; this digital process will replace the need for paper forms to be sent home.
This update will automatically display for you when accessing Parent Portal for the first time.
The annual update is important for the school district as it updates important information about your student(s). Information Updated:
Address
Phone Number
Emergency Contact
Waiver of School Fees
Medications
Health Conditions
Field Trip Release
Media Release
Don't have a Parent Portal account? Please email registration@mpsd.school to receive your activation key.
Informational Video: Online Registration
Parents & Students, Information is at Your Fingertips!
The Campus Student & Campus Parent portals put school information at your fingertips with real-time access to announcements, assignments, attendance, grades, schedules, and more! You can even pay your school fees online. Access to the Parent Portal is reserved for legal guardians.
This school year the MPSD has transitioned to Online Registration and Annual Updates through Infinite Campus. Starting August 1st, legal guardians need to confirm that the information for their students and their household is accurate. School paperwork will be completed through the portal, so there will no longer be any “gold sheets” or other forms (with the exception of sports forms).
