The San Marcos Knights football team has an overall record of five wins and two losses. The Knights were riding a four game win streak as they fell to a tough La Costa Canyon High School team on Friday, October tenth. The Knights are ranked seventh in the county as we near the end of the season. Come out and support the Knights Football team on Friday, October seventeenth as we recognize our Seniors. Go Knights!

The Lady Knights Flag football team has started off the year with a record of five wins and three losses. Avocado league play has just started. This season promises to be exciting as the girls compete against some of the best teams in the county in. Come out and watch the team compete as they host Ramona High School on Thursday, September 19th at 6PM. Go Knights!

San Marcos Knights Field Hockey is currently ranked sixth in the county according to the CIF Power Rankings. The girls have had impressive wins over power house Canyon Hills and Scripps Ranch High Schools. With an overall record of twelve wins and four losses the Knights Field Hockey team is poised to finish the season strong. With two weeks left in the regular season make sure to come out next Friday, October twenty fourth as we honor our Seniors, match starts at 6:00PM. The girls will close out the regular season on Thursday, October thirtieth at Canyon Crest Academy. Finish strong girls. Go Knights!

Girls Volleyball continues to be a power in San Diego County. With great coaches and athletes, consistency and high expectations are how our Girls Volleyball program represents San Marcos. The Knights have a current record of ten wins and five losses to start the year. Come see the girls as the begin league play on Wednesday, September 24th at 5:30PM.

The Varsity Girls Tennis team has an overall record of four wins and eight losses. In Avocado league play they have two wins and four losses. The team has improved greatly as the season has gone on. Competing against La Costa Canyon they had a chance to win falling to the Mavericks eight to ten. League championships start next Monday, October twentieth at 3:30 PM at San Marcos High School. If you like to see good tennis, come out and see the girls compete. Go Knights.

The boys cross country team, led by Dean Odom is currently ranked first in Valley league and third overall in San Diego and thirteenth in the state in Division one. The 2025 boys team is already the best boys squad in our school’s history. Dean Odom just set a school and district three mile record by running fourteen minutes and twenty two seconds. The girls cross country team is led by Caroline Plastridge and Taylor Maple. They are currently ranked third in Valley league. The cross country team’s next race is this Friday, September 12th at Kit Carson Park. GO Knights!

The San Marcos Varsity Girls' golf team is experiencing its most successful season in over a decade. Spearheaded by sophomore Catherine Shi, who holds the ninth ranking in the county, the team currently sits in sixth place within Division one and possesses a strong opportunity to host a CIF Play-in match and advance to the CIF tournament. Given the absence of any graduating seniors, the team is poised to strengthen its bonds and continue its development beyond this season, extending into the upcoming fall. Great job ladies. Boys Water Polo has been working hard as they compete against some of the top teams in their division. Next week the Boys Water Polo team will be competing against Clairemont High School at Mesa College on Friday September 19th at 6:45 PM. Come out and see the guys as they play one of the most physically demanding sport there is. Go Knights!
