Welcome Back from the Holiday Break!
Parents and Guardians,
We hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday break and are ready for an exciting second semester! We’re thrilled to have our students back and are looking forward to the learning and growth ahead.
Report cards for the first semester will either be sent home by classroom teachers this Friday or made available through the Infinite Campus portal. Please take a moment to review your child’s progress and celebrate their hard work.
We’re so grateful for our partnership with you and look forward to continuing to watch our students grow, learn, and excel together. Here’s to a fantastic second semester!

Attendance
Please email Katie or Makala at whitepineattendance@boiseschools.org if your student is sick, going out of town, or missing school for any reason.
If you are going out of town and know the dates are set, please let us know ahead of time and we can excuse it early!
Arrival and Dismissal
Please remember that arrival time for White Pine Elementary School students is between 8:20 and 8:40 am. In order to ensure appropriate supervision each morning, students should not arrive before 8:20 a.m. as staff are not on duty yet. Classes begin at 8:40 a.m.
Dismissal is at 3:15 pm. During dismissal, it is extremely important for parents of car riders to remain in vehicles. Please do not stop abruptly in a non-parking area. This creates a back up and is not safe for your student or other students to cross.
Please avoid congregating near the entrance of the school as this creates confusion for students. Thank you for following these procedures to support a safe, efficient dismissal each day.
FREE Breakfast
Breakfast is served from 8:15 am to 8:40 am.
We do not have any supervision on the playground before 8:15 am.

Information for 6th Grade Parents
AVID Information
Dear 6th Grade Parents,
We are excited to share information about the AVID Elective, a class that supports motivated students as they challenge themselves in more rigorous coursework. The AVID Elective is an opportunity for students to develop essential skills like note-taking, time management, organization, writing, and research, all within a college-going culture.
This elective is open to students who meet certain qualifications, and interviews will take place in late January. The AVID class includes tutorials facilitated by college students and adults, providing additional support for students as they succeed in their academic pursuits.
Additionally, AVID provides access to a wealth of college-related information, including field trips, guest speakers, college tutors, scholarship opportunities, and information about college admission requirements.
We encourage you to explore this valuable opportunity for your child!

Elementary Athletics (5th and 6th Grade Students Only)
The Boise School District encourages all elementary boys and girls to participate in various sports programs offered by the district and community. Our goal for fifth and sixth-grade students is to help them develop and improve their athletic skills through monitored competition. We achieve this by forming and equipping as many teams as resources allow and creating supervised competitive school leagues to foster interest and skill improvement among participants. Please see the schedule below for start dates.
