Celebrating Muslim Heritage Month
Jan - Feb 2024 edition
In celebration of Muslim Heritage Month (January 2024) look at THREE (or more, if you want to) sections of this newsletter to engage in different aspects of Muslim/Islamic culture.
Remember to check out books related to this rich culture in our Patriot Library Media Center, the PLMC, book display! 📚
You'll be introduced to notable Muslim figures that you may know and some that you've never heard of before, plus MUCH more! Don't forget our Notable Person of the Week featured on your library Google Classroom Stream.
We are creating an inclusive, diverse community at Connecticut Farms where all students are accepted and treated fairly and kind. If you're not sure about your fellow classmate's culture and you want to learn more about it, ask them in a respectful way. Ask your classroom teacher or come to library where you may find a book on the shelf or an ebook on MackinVIA discussing that topic.
But first, let's review some monthly highlights in our 🎥BLAST FROM THE PAST - STUDENT SPOTLIGHT 🔦 section. Remember, you or your library work may be featured in upcoming Library Chat newsletters.
Ok Patriots, I'll see you in the stacks!
