From Mrs. Sholl
One of the very best parts of my job as principal is to witness our students’ growth each year. As we look to wrap up yet another year, we wanted to take some time to celebrate how much each of our students have grown this year in both reading and math. On May 9th, each grade level will be invited to a Grow Day Block Party! We will have all sorts of fun and games for the kids to participate in and some great treats, too! You may want to join us and we would love to have you! The schedule for the day will be:
4th and 5th grades - 8:40 - 10:10
2nd and 3rd grades - 10:20 - 11:50
KK and 1st grade - 12:15 - 1:40
Because our students are worth celebrating, we will also have our ceremonies that day, too. The ceremony schedule coincides with their Block Party, as follows;
4th - 8:10 in the gym
2nd - 9:00 in the gym
3rd - 9:40 in the gym
5th - 10:20 in the gym
KK & 1st - 11:45 in the classrooms
We are looking forward to a great day! There will be no cost for students to attend. However, we are asking for each student to donate an item from the list to help our Leadership Team with their REC project. Thanks for all you do to support your child and his/her education, it makes a difference!
Items we are collecting:
Skid-proof socks, small blankets, word search books, & adult coloring books
GES Track Team
Congratulations to our 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade track students for a great season!

Employee Spotlight
Our Employee spotlight this month goes to Mrs. Leslie Manning. This is her 28th year teaching. She joined Graysville last year, because her daughter, Mrs. Orman, is a 4th grade teacher here. She LOVEs being able to work alongside her in the classroom. Prior to joining the Graysville staff, Mrs. Manning taught high school at RHS. She enjoys being able to get to know students at the beginning of their academic journey and then working with them at the high school level. In her spare time she loves to be with her dog, Henry. They enjoy going on walks, swimming and mowing grass. Mrs. Manning likes most anything that allows her to be outside in pleasant weather :) She hopes to be able to to retire in a couple of years and after that- who knows?? Maybe, Lord willing, she''ll become a barista!
